This would be a great class if not for the jackass professor. One, he insists on being called "Doc" (nicknames are given to you by others, they aren't self assigned), but overall he's an unpleasant person to interact with. He's 'retiring' at the end of this semester but the open secret is CSU forced him out due to blatantly flaunting COVID protocols. He also doesnt communicate **** to us about our grades. Nobody knows what their standing is. The course itself could be more organized, too. I'm happy this fat **** is leaving dodge.
Learned about manufacturing - how to make parts, tolerances, precision, the machines and tools used, etc.

One of my favorite courses. Hands on and practical knowledge that you don't receive from other courses.
Manufacturing methods. Hardware standards. Equipment Operation. Safety.
Dr. Schaeffer is extremely knowledgeable in every subject this course touches. His lectures are simple and old-fashioned, but not boring. He will help you in the lab and will answer your questions, but you must earn his respect. He has some strong opinions which sometimes find there way into the classroom, whether or not you agree should not impact your performance.
Start on projects early. Lab time fills up late in the semester. It feels good to be done with your project while everyone else is worried about finishing.
