If you've taken any previous Spanish classes at DePaul, this one follows the pattern. LingoLearning, the online textbook, is the main delivery method for content with vocab, grammer, and culture sections wrapped up in a nice test. Content is self-taught and then applied within class activities.

LingroLearning units, vocabuluary, grammar, and culture sections, oral presentation towards the end of the quarter, and one on one oral final. The lowest test grade is dropped and 2 absences are allowed with no penalty to your overall grade.

Profesora Whitelaw was a really amazing Spanish prof to have. She is very organized, gives review announcements every class period and is easy to ask questions to. One of my favorite Spanish profs I've had so far.

Grammar and vocabulary sections take a significant amount of time to complete, so make sure to start early on them. Composition prompts for unit tests are posted on D2L so make sure to prepare those ahead of time as well! Keep a running document of notes that happen during class to help review for tests.
