The course itself is quite interesting and a definite recommendation for anyone thinking about law school. It was a little too easy though.

The class covers first theories of law like positivism, realism, etc. Then criminal law and finishes with civil law. Textbook is required as the essay exams tell you to quote from it.

Mello’s a cool dude and I’m still in touch with him, but it’s kinda hard to take class seriously. He pretty much walks in every day hoping to get pulled off topic and rants too much about random stuff rather than teaching. Very funny though.

The exams look tough (8-10 pages in 24 hours) but he gave me an A for it even though I only wrote five and turned it in late. Take him for a chill, light course. If you want a challenge, take someone else.
