I really enjoyed this class, it was a very well-rounded course to go over the basics of all that makes Psychology, Psychology.
You learn a bit of history, biology, research methods, education and career options, disorders, treatments, etc. It covers the basics of all that makes up this subject. There is a lot to remember, no doubt about that, but it was not a bad experience in the slightest. Reach out to the professor if you are struggling to understand something.
She was great; weekly reading/writing quizzes, 4 separate unit exams (proctored), 1 final exam (proctored), no papers, group discussion weekly as well. Easy to reach, very fun and kind. She knows her stuff and provides great notes, lectures, and study guides you can fill out. She is very organized and grades promptly, as well as offers feedback with each manual grade which I wish all professors did across the board. I would definitely take a course with her again; I couldn't ask for a better experience from a professor.
Take notes from the lectures, the slides (the notes professor provides), and the reading material - they do not have to be in depth either if you do not want them to be, just be able to explain it and give an example or whatever else helps you recall terms and concepts. The quiz questions from each chapter will be on the unit tests, and I am assuming the final (almost there!) - I noticed this after my first unit exam and the rest of the unit exams were smooth sailing from there on. I found that reading through my collective notes and rereading through my quiz attempts after they are graded/answers released was the best way for me to study.
