This class is made way more complicated than it needs to be. Not many homework assignments, but they take a while and are fairly challenging, especially the later ones. Exams are mostly fair, but you don't always get to practice content before taking them.

Graphical optimization method, linear programming, integer programming, some nonlinear programming but not much, simplex algorithm

Concepts are explained clearly and multiple times, lectures can be dry.

Experience in matlab may be helpful, but definitely not necessary. Gusek is not available on Mac, so either use VDI or dual boot windows using bootcamp.
