This could just have been an anomaly for this term (probably not), but Dr. Gray lays out her discussion due dates differently from my other instructors, setting the due date as being Sunday night when your first post is actually due by midnight on Thursday. Just something to be aware of. Late work is not accepted without a compelling reason for which you must provide documentation in most cases. I don’t really understand why this is a 200-level core psych course. It seems like it should be a 100-level elective. The academic concepts were very simple and required no prior knowledge of psychology. That isn’t to say it isn’t useful, and I gained some insight from it. The first half of the course was mainly taking online personality tests each week and discussing whether or not you agree with the results. Most of the rest of the work are open-book chapter quizzes and several weekly journals. You’ll probably write 1000-1200 words in a typical week for this class, and if you’re thoughtful you should get good marks. The final exam is worth about 10% of your overall grade, as is the final project. The final project was a set of two Time Management self-studies where you log a day of your activities for the first section, then plan an ideal typical week for yourself in the second section and write about your findings.
