Interesting course regarding the material and discussions (wide variety of material and discussions just about life in general), helpful to take as a freshman because it really teaches you about how hard college classes can be and how to learn better.
Learned a lot about cultures around the world and simply how to adjust to college courses right out of high school. Helpful in the fact it taught me how to analyze documents at a college level (took it first semester freshman year).
Interesting man as a person, but incredibly harsh and aggressive as a professor. Class is discussion based but if you say something he disagreed with, he'd insult you on a personal level. Would regularly quiz us on material that we were not learning (reading a book on South America, so naturally he quizzed us on Canada).
How insane the professor was.
