I didn't find the course horribly complicated, but I've heard some people do. Some parts are definitely challenging. There's tons of logic-type things involved, very low-level programming. Don't expect a horrible class, but I wouldn't call it an easy-A. I'll give it an average useful rating due to its potential, but for a lot of people it will be irrelevant.

Sometimes hard to understand, but he seems to care about his students and their outcomes. Reasonable grader and the workload of the class isn't bad at all. Group project is fairly simple.

A lot of the content is based around logic gates, so if you have experience from other courses with that, it should be easier. If you struggle with those types of things, be prepared to study.
