If you took high school vectors it'll help a bit with the more geometric aspects of this course (and you'll know at least how to solve a matrix). Content was a bit challenging but very interesting.

This is the introductory linear algebra and vector geometry course taken by all STEM students in U0. Some aspects of the course builds off the Grade 12 calculus and vectors course in high school, but most of the material is new.
Fundamentals objects and operations: vectors, matrices, Gauss-Jordan Elimination, norm/magnitude, unit vector, normal vector, dot product, cross product, vector-matrix algebra, matrix inverse, matrix transpose, determinants. Theory: linear combinations, span, basis, dimension, subspaces, kernel, image, Rank-Nullity Theorem, linear transformations, diagonalization, elementary matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, adjugates, Cramer's Rule Applications: solving systems of linear equations, changing coordinate systems, curve fitting, solving discrete dynamical systems
The professor was nice and willing to answer student's questions. His explanations and handwriting were, however, not super clear.
Each lecture has associated practice problems with solutions posted later, do these to fully understand the topics. The webworks offer good repetitive practice. The tutorials are a must-go, as they provide clarity on the more theoretical aspects of the course. These help you prepare for the midterms and final, which were both fairly challenging.
