Prof: Metin Aktulga / Fall 2022
Oct 16, 2022
The class itself is extremely difficult, and needs to be reviewed for the amount of work being assigned during it. It prevents students from actually learning the materials of the course, and instead forces them to rush through assignments. If you fall sick, don't expect to be able to catch up to the course materials.
The course teaches C, ARM Assembly, and logical circuits to make a basic computer. It can be useful if you are going into low level programming in the industry, or in the research field, though I doubt most will find it useful. At the end of the day, it is very interesting though.
The professor actually teaches well! It's just that the class is too fast paced to prevent proper learning.
Do your hardest not to fall sick, especially in terms of catching COVID-19, which can easily take 1.5 weeks of the class, and stop you from ever catching up.
