The material itself isn't crazy hard (but still more difficult than normal), the problem is that it's all quiz and exam based, so if you don't do well in those, you're out of luck. No homework except for the group project.

The prof. is alright, he WILL ask you questions every class, there's no dodging it.

Study the **** out of the book, the slides are only useful as a refresher.
