This class was difficult. It was very fast-paced and full of dense information. The midterm exams were graded just like the homework - partial credit was given and explanations on where you went wrong were provided. For the final my understanding was that the exam was multiple choice but that we needed to submit our work so that it could be reviewed for partial credit. No such thing happened. Your answers were right or wrong. This dropped my grade at least a full letter.

Lots of information and jumps around in the textbook. The textbook that is recommended is terrible. I had to get supplement books and look at those for whatever we were currently looking at.

Prof. Buzzard definitely knows his stuff. He's a good teacher but it was difficult being a distance student for this class.

Study a lot and spend time understanding each concept. This isn't a class where you can give 50% on one section and come out unscathed. This class is nearly required for graduate level engineering degrees and it's a beating.
