This class does not at all feel like it belongs in the cmns department. The content was occasionally agonizingly philosophical and many of the documentaries we watched felt pointless.

There was more writing in this class than in my actual writing-based course. Lectures were too long and a drag and the content fails to hold attention. Final exam was extremely vague and overall it felt like an exam wasn't even necessary for this class and just added unnecessary stress.

Professor was nice enough and you can tell she cares about the content, but her explanations were often hard to follow and lecture slides were not useful.

I wish I knew that this course was more philosophical and theory based instead of mainly just film study. This class does NOT feel like a cmns course.
