I really struggle with math but as long as I have a good teacher i more or less understand it. However Dr. Chestnut was not a good teacher and I basically had to teach myself the entire semester I really struggle with tests due to anxiety and time limits but he did offer to let me start tests early if he got there early.
The math was actually fairly easy, it was mostly Algebra 1 from high school and maybe a little of an algebra 2 review at the very end. If you struggle with math you'll want a good teacher to make sure to explain it especially if you're going up in math.
As stated before Dr. Chestnutt offered to let me start tests early if both of us arrived early, however, he was always late, either showing up right as class was supposed to begin or minutes after. He also never explained things well, he would often make things harder when trying to explain things. I could tell he really liked math and it came easy to him but this was an intro math course. He also often responded to questions with "I don't know you tell me" which was not helpful. I can tell he genuinely wants to help but doesn't know how.
Go to tutoring. Whether you have a good teacher or not, tutoring will help. They explain things well and go deep into questions you don't understand, they will not do the work for you but they will give you the steps to understand better. Also try and find a better teacher if you can for this course if you can't just try your best to pass.
