Professor Duke is great and really cares about his students. The class will really teach you the basics of GIS and what you need for second semester

As long as you know how to read and use a computer, you're in for a lot of fun

Professor Duke is a great guy. He puts out as much as he can to help everyone succeed and responds very quickly (teacher standards) to email and questions. Only downside is that he's a busy guy so it might be tough to meet for questions

Keep up with the assignments, Professor Duke gives a long time to get things done, but it can go sideways if you leave it till 1 hour before hand
