If you haven't taken a self defense class before. Take this class. Some of the teachings based on the provided textbook is a little outdated. But there is super helpful info for self defense. And it's also basically a women empowering women class as well as a bonus. (Plus we were always out half an hour early)

You do get points off after 2 absences. You get up and you learn the techniques and practice them on punching mitts eventually.
