Homework consisted of up to a dozen problems, most from the textbook, and could take quite some time to finish. The exams generally consisted of a few derivation-heavy problems that were not necessarily similar to homework and were take- home. Be sure to understand class material in a qualitative sense but also be confident in your calculus skills.

This class is very useful for someone who intends to pursue a graduate degree in astrophysics.
