There is a fair amount of homework, but none of it is too difficult. There are exams every two weeks on average, but they are similar to the homework. The exams are open-book and open-note.

The class has the potential to be very useful. We cover gears, chains, belts, bearings, fatigue (review from ME360), degrees of freedom, etc. But Dr. Todd doesn't spend much time talking about how we could use this in the field. Mostly theory.

Dr. Todd is a very good explainer, and easy to talk to.

Have access to Shigley's textbook. And stay on top of the homework.
