I could not tell you what I actually learned in this class. Not that Dr. Adams or Dr. Carbonaro are bad teachers, or that it is a bad course in general, I just felt that it was not useful to me at all. I actually feel that it was well taught, but I found that I was often confused about what to actually study for. The assignments were super easy, and midterm and final were fair. As someone from a non-coding background, I found the code.org portion of the course to be very difficult in an exam setting. That being said, I barely studied for the final and got A-.
Actually do the readings. Do the assignments early and do not leave easy marks behind. Start the code.org assignment asap, and actually understand it because it will be on the final.

i hated this course... it was ONLY on tuesday evenings and had at least 1 assignment after each lecture.
content was not useful at all
honestly didn't know who was a prof and who was a TA... pretty sure the acc prof was in the lecture for 3-4/14 lectures
its a requirement i suppose... so boring, you could watch the university count the money you gave them for this AWFUL course instead and enjoy it more.

Well structured, horrible material. Needs to be redesigned to focus on technology teachers will actually use, not theories that are irrelevant in schools. Overall, the assignments were quite easy, and the labs were ok. You can put minimal effort into this class like I did, and still get an A.
I'm not sure I remember anything about this class. It was very organized, the TA's were awesome and helpful, but the content is just so irrelevant and useless for future educators. Do not expect to retain any knowledge.
Profs were actually pretty good. Cathy was knowledgeable and tried to make the class a bit interesting. Mike was alright as well.
Make sure to do the GLA's early to get them out of your way. The more you do in the beginning, the easier it is. Trust me, end of the term gets busy. Also, make sure to do at least some of the readings. Some questions on the exams come directly from there. Start on the code.org assignment early, and make sure to understand it. Good luck!

A really dry, boring class. Not very practical knowledge. However, very easy to do well if you even put a slight effort into it.
Study the quizzes for midterm and final

Hey this course isn;t for everyone apparently. If you pay attention, some of the ideas about tech were amazing. Sure, you get to learn how to use a smartboard and set up a google classroom, and can get a bit of credit for it by doing the GLAs. But that's a sideline to the big ideas.
This course covers many many topics about edtech. My favorite part was the ethics because I had never thought about technology as anything more than devices that we use. Is that useful? I guess it has had a big impact in how I will approach using tech. I also learned about coding.
Two profs: both know their stuff. If you can get over Cathy's' monotone, she's saying some mind-blowing things. Carbonaro is funny and tells some good stories
This course is very organized and they make a point of telling us what we need to do each week. Do it.
