Control the world! The class is cool, but is a lot of work. Mook does not teach well in large classes. I found him scattered, notes difficult to follow with errors, and generally found myself more confused after lectures. If you read the notes, watch the lectures on 2x speed, and camp out in office hours you will succeed. The class is not difficult, but the way delivered makes it so. Mook is a 10 in office hours and like a 4 in class.

Class is super useful and interesting

Go to Mook's office hours, he's incredible in office hours, but his scattered-ness, lack of following the notes, and general lecture style makes it difficult to understand in class. Go. to. office. hours. Mook will go over the moon to help you understand topics and will do everything he can to help you learn. I can't emphasize enough that Mook was my favorite professor in office hours. During lecture he was one of my most hated.

A hot mess

An assortment of math that would have been useful to know of it had been taught.

Professor Mook didn't teach the course for the month of October. He blew off his responsibilities and complained when student reported him.

System dynamics is a good subject but having Professor Mook just made me hate the course. He does post his notes but there are frequent mistakes present in them. There are 4 exams for the course. You are allowed to drop one. But if you happen to miss one of the exams due to a legitimate reason don’t expect him to give you a makeup. He will consider the missed one as your dropped exam.

Useful for controls system applications

Awful Professor. Heard great things about Professor Mook, only to be disappointed when attending his classes. He gives out HW every 3-4 days and he doesn’t give you a week-long deadline. He seems to think that his course is all you’re taking during a semester.

System dynamics is really interesting and easy but your comprehension of the concepts depend on the instructor teaching you. Try to take this course in the summer session or teach yourself the concepts. There’s a lot of useful videos out there.
