The course, on engineering law, was based on readings mostly and had a weekly quiz on readings and slides. The total time spent on this class was about 3 hours a week.

Slides were online so it was possible to skip class. Exams were doable and the final was open book. Learned about the process of becoming a professional engineer so that was useful. Case studies and lots of guest speakers were interesting. Found the course focused too much on civil engineering though. I am in biomedical engineering and there wasn't anything in the course that related to my career. Also as a female student I was extremely offended that the first midterm had all male names in the case studies despite the prof and many of the students being female. The group project was a bit of a gong show. The class was really too big to manage; we had to book an appointment to discuss our group projects and wasn't that helpful as not everyone could attend. If you need to save time, you can skip class, but you might actually enjoy the guest speakers if you do have the time to attend. You don't need to study too hard to pass.
