A pretty standard English course, do note that each section has a different theme and a different booklist, so if you're interested in a particular theme/set of books you should see if you can find out which sections read which texts. Dr. Baxter's specialization is in gothic literature so our section was on monsters.
Dr. Baxter is so nice and genuinely enjoys the work that she does and it shows. She is a bit of a harsh grader and says she usually doesnt give anything above a B+ which is the average for her classes.

By textbook use, I am referring to the plays/novels we read in class, which can be found online for free. Attendance for Discussions is mandatory (and account for 25% of your grade), and although attending lectures is optional, going to class will help you write your essays. All marking is done by your Discussion group TA, but do not be hesitant to reach out to them and ask for help/clarification as it is encouraged by Dr. Mota. Overall a great course, though lectures can sometimes be a drag.
Attend those Discussions and reach out to your TA!
