Comments on the course

Although the instructor was very nice and a passionate lecturer, this was quite possibly one of the worst courses at UBC I've ever taken, which is especially disappointing because it was literally a requirement for the GEOG major. 99% of the issues came from disorganized and annoyingly structured assignments and participation activities, which I will elaborate on below. From what I understand they had recently completely overhauled the course, so hopefully they'll restructure it again to be even a modicum better. Comments on the professor

Dr. Chubb was very kind and knowledgeable, and did cool research. I understand this was the first course she had ever taught, so I think she was just on a bit of a learning curve. My TA was also very nice.

Advice

Don't take it, if you can. If you do, good luck. Prepare your immortal soul for the psychological torture of group projects galore.
