I haven’t received my final grades for this course yet, but the adaptation of this course for online learning was a lot. Many lectures (at times 6 hours a week, 2 of which were optional) and adding that to textbook readings, weekly MyLab quizzes, practice exercises, tutorial etc, created a massive workload. TBH my biggest pet peeve with this course was just how strikingly different exams were from MyLab and even our homework. Although Dr. Khan was our professor, Dr. Chapple made the asynchronous lectures and 75% of the exam questions. Given that we had no synchronous time with him, it made applying the concepts that much more difficult. Although it’s not like the exams, practicing MyLab helped me ingrain the concepts for exams. No matter what you do, make sure you have a deep understanding of what you’re learning, because Dr. Chapple’s exams involve a lot of calculation and a deep understanding of economics.
