This course's biggest advantage is definitely its utility. The skills learnt about Microsoft Word, Excel, R Studio, Libre Office, and QGIS are super useful, both within the Faculty of Forestry and beyond. Prof. Ahmed was a pretty nice, and her pre-recorded lectures were to the point. There were occasional moments where the course didn't feel very useful (like with Excel Macros), but overall it was good. Assignments can be tricky if you don't watch any lectures, but attending labs frequently usually ensures a great score, and the TAs were great too!
As mentioned, attend the labs. Assignments are completed there with the TAs and you can ensure a good score. Also use their piazza!

You pretty much have to teach yourself stats in the distance ed version of this course. Very easy if you took stats in high school, the textbook is NOT written well.
All the answers for the assignments can be found online, final exam worth 60% used proctorio but it was VERY easy (5 double sided cheat sheets can basically fit an example of every possible test question).
