Such a fun course!! Got to read and watch Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and it got me obsessed with the series. I probably wouldn't have read/watched it if I hadn't taken this class. The essays are graded a little bit harshly by the TAs, but the final essay they were a bit more generous. Definitely a lot of writing but overall really fun class!

Reading and writing. Split up into four modules, and there's, if I remember correctly: 1 one-pager, a little more than one page, a midterm essay, and a final essay that is a revision of the midterm essay.

Super fun professor and easy to talk to. Fun and interesting lectures, and you can tell he enjoys teaching the class (or if he doesn't, he did a good job at hiding that he doesn't enjoy it haha)
