Prof: Dr. Williams Brook / Fall 2020
Mar 21, 2022
A very tough class due to the amount of memorization needing to be done, but as someone who truly enjoys genetics, I had lots of fun with this class and only I wish that I could have done it in person to get the full experience. The assignments were a moderate level of work (more time-consuming than actually hard). The midterm and final exam were stressful because there was so much to memorize but weren't actually that bad.
Basically just genetics, and as someone who hopes to do research in genetics yes I found the class very useful.
Dr. Brook was decent at teaching (I'm sure it was much harder having to teach over zoom), but he was a pretty fair grader and the work was never impossibly hard.
He will make it seem like the textbook is required and I went out and bought a brand new one... and then proceeded to maybe use it once. But it is a very good textbook that I still use today so if you're the type who learns best from reading the textbook I definitely recommend it.
