The class was okay, I wasn't a fan of the teaching style used. The n-person portion class is themed liked Dungeons and Dragons, which sounds cool until every class meeting turns into a little group assignment that you never get any feedback on and really doesn't make sense. However, it was low stress and fun. The exams were a bit tricky in that it can be hard to tell what is important.
The class is based off both a textbook and his lectures. The textbook gives a lot of the background, but what he talks about in lecture is the most important. The worst part about this class was having to memorize everything involved with the krebs cycle, glycolysis, etc. The level at which we were required to know those topics felt unnecessary.
He was very nice and tried to make the class fun. He was always willing to have a chat, about class material or really anything at all.
His recorded lectures are more important than the textbook.
