Difficult course that just didn't make sense to me. Content is not too difficult, exams are killer. I purchased Study Edge and watched their lectures in lieu of hers.
I did not find her to be a great lecturer, but I mainly used Study Edge for watching lectures and doing practice problems.
Put in more effort than I did. Read the textbook, watch her lectures, start the assignments with time, do the extra Smartbook practice and get your hands on Study Edge reviews if you can. Start studying a littler more than a week in advance to get familiar with exam questions. I put in moderate, last minute effort throughout the semester but would really grind it out for days before the exams and got a C+. Do not depend on the curve.

In my opinion the classes difficulty was a slightly over hyped. Yes, it is one of your more difficult classes as an early accounting major but it is not impossible. Do all assignments and quizzes IMMEDIATELY.
The course content was directly helpful to what was on the exams.
Mrs. Goslinga is a really nice person and is happy to answer any questions at office hours.
Best advice I could give is get study edge. They condense everything you need in one place and they know the class really well. Also study edges practice exams are more closer to the real exams than her own practice exams.

The course is a relatively simple accounting course, very straightforward and basic. As long as you take notes and do the required assignments and some practice exams, you should pass the class with an A. Study edge is definitely not required. Professor Goslinga provides plenty of practice opportunities for her exam that are similar to the actual exam.

The lectures were pretty good, but nothing the professor provides will prepare you for the exams.
There were assignments and quizzes every week, and three exams. There were practice exams and extra practice problems, but none of them are close to the level of difficulty that the exams are.
Professor Goslinga is a good lecturer, but she seems to not want students to be prepared for the exams.
Use studyedge. It may be possible to do well without it, but my failures in the class had a direct correlation with a lack of studyedge. The first exam was the easiest, in my opinion. The final exam is by far the hardest.

(Disclaimer: I am an accounting major, so my perspective is likely skewed. However, this was my first accounting course.) While difficult, from my experience it is very possible to obtain an A in this course without using StudyEdge, as long as one takes thorough notes and reviews their mistakes in the practice exams. I didn't ever watch the lectures except for the practice exam reviews, but I found the professor's explanations insightful for the questions I missed. There is a ~2.3% curve (10/440 points), so even if one doesn't get an A on every exam it is very possible to still get an A in the class. My biggest piece of advice is to get all the points you possibly can from the assignments- they may not be worth much individually, but in aggregate they can make or break your grade.

Difficult weed out class, but no way to avoid it if it's required or a prereq for your major or minor.
Agree that her voice is somewhat annoying. Watching her work problems on the board in the videos is helpful though.
Made the mistake of taking this course Summer A. That's a 4 credit weed out class in 6 weeks... Would not recommend to anyone. Far too much content in little time. It was basically a full time job. Take this class during a full semester.

This is a business college weed-out class. Not really sure how people pass without Study Edge.
You learn accounting basics. It's somewhat interesting but also it's accounting.
Goslinga's voice is nails on a chalkboard. Her lectures are okay but she has nothing on David from Study Edge.
Use Study Edge. Do all the practice problems and mock exams. Don't save your homework for the night it's due.
