None of the average coursework even involves the professor, it's just outsourced through online quizzes and third party video lectures. Projects are graded very thoroughly, and it seems like the TA I had was finding reasons to deduct points. To elaborate, my friend (who had a different TA) used fewer and smaller sources than me on the same artwork and I was docked for insufficient research while he wasn't. Not to mention one of my sources was a 90 page Federal Judicial Center report of the artwork's context. It's not like this is a class that I only took for the gen ed requirement either, I'm genuinely interested in the broad variety of art covered by the course, but this class definitely failed to keep me engaged or teach me much past basic art analysis.
I wish I explored all of my options to fulfill my gen ed requirements before taking this class.

The class sucks but it's a gen ed. Supposed to be easy except when your ta is EMMA DENNISON. If EMMA DENNISON is your ta I urge you to drop before add/drop and take it a different term. Grading extremely hard for no reason while all my friends taking the class were consistently getting 100's on every assignment. I am not taking less than an A in this class when it's supposed to be an easy A.
Drop if your ta is EMMA DENNISON.
