Professor David Tanner Reviews
Class Ratings
Prof: David Tanner / Fall 2020

By the time you take this class I assume you're used to physics classes so it shouldn't be awful. Just stay on top of the material and study and you should be fine.
You touch upon magnetic flux and Faraday's law. Then you take everything you've learned in EM 1 and get Maxwell's equations. You then touch upon conservation laws in electromagnetism. The largest part of the class is electromagnetic waves. Then you go on to potentials of electromagnetic waves and retarded. Finally you go over accelerating charges and how they radiate energy.
Tanner was a nice guy and made the class pretty straightforward. The one bad thing was he didn't tell us a definite grading scale but apparently it's a normal distribution based on how the class as a whole does.
