As someone who had seen a lot of films before the course, Felipe combines readings from the textbook with lectures in class to allow you to develop a writing style and expand your relationship with international cinema.

Felipe is a great professor. He schedules the content for the course in a way that has a logical flow and allows you to develop your ability to analyze film.

The screenings on Wednesdays are a pain (3 hours and a lot of the time it's foreign films so it's active viewing) but you can watch them online after the fact and on a week-to-week basis it is easy enough to do the discussion posts and reviews.
