This class was so much easier than I thought it would be, but there was a lot of bad communication by the teacher that made things confusing.
There were a bunch of assignments that involved writing that didn't actually breach beginner level. I don't feel like I learned a single thing. It was really easy, and I even got an A even though I accidentally didn't turn in two assignments correctly. There was a ton of extra credit.
The teacher was awful. I say teacher because she was a grad student. She should not be lecturing. She could not say a single sentence without losing her train of thought or saying the wrong thing. It was almost comical at times. Class meetings were supposed to be for asking questions and guided learning, so they were not required. Towards the end of the semester, people stopped showing up, so she started requiring attendance, which was a huge waste of time for the students because the lectures were worthless.
Don't buy the textbook. She never even mentioned it and it was a huge waste of money. I attended every class because it helped me stay on track, but it was a huge waste of time and I learned nothing from her.
