This is very interesting course, especially for geology majors. It's required for the geology degree as it goes through the geologic time scale and history of the Earth.

In the course, we went very in depth on the geologic time scale, including the years of the time scale and the names of the eons/eras/periods. We also go in depth on the formation and history of the Earth and what processes were involved in that.

Dr. Meert is a very fair grader and is very transparent about his expectations in the class, especially on exams. He gives exam study guides before each exam that are a very clear indicator of what is on the exam. His lectures are also interesting and very engaging.

The majority of the work for this class comes from the labs. I would suggest working on those ahead of time.
