In order to succeed in this class u will have to actually understand what ur reading. I can’t describe it any better than that. Daily attendance is absolutely a necessity with pop quizzes that deeply test your knowledge of what is assigned each class. Course is paper-oriented, and 75% of ur grade is papers. He gives u 5 points for participation but it’s not guaranteed, I got 5 myself but I know others who got 0 or 1 points.
He grades on a curve, with the highest essay grade I saw at a 94 across all essays. He only gives 1-2 kids As or A minuses and is unironically the harshest grader I’ve ever had for papers.
Show up to each and every class, and PARTICIPATE.

**The class is actually called "Idea of Happiness"** Really boring and you often talk in circles in the discussion because it is philosophy. Also, TA grades everything, kinda a tough grader. Almost all groupwork except essays.
Philosophy on what happiness is.
He was passionate about what he talked about but often talked very dryly and most of the class was zoning out or asleep. Heard he was helpful during office hours if you're confused.
It is almost all group work
