It is an interesting class. It is not as hard as I thought it would be going in, but it still requires a lot of attention.
There is sooooo much covered but it is all useful and interesting
He is very passionate about the class and that makes his lectures fun to watch but he has the tendency to get off track sometimes
Stay on top of the readings. Watch the topical talks.

Your grade in this class is entirely determined by three exams. I relied on Smokin'Notes to learn the material and rarely read the LSB or watched his lectures. Do his practice problems, as they are reflective of what will appear on the actual exams. Emerson lets you use any printed materials during the exams, so creating an index to help you navigate the notes/books is ESSENTIAL to passing this class. He also gives you the option of writing an essay that will replace your lowest test grade.
Various legal concepts (contract, corporate, and agency law) and how they are applied.
Although Emerson's lectures are entertaining, they aren't needed to pass the class. He was also really generous with his exam curves during the semester I took the exam, which is the only reason I got an A.
If you're only concerned with passing this class, don't bother with the textbook and lectures. The Smokin'Notes and practice problems are all you need. Give yourself at least a week before the exams to learn the material. Create an index for the book/notes.

It has a TON of material but is very doable. The prof gives lots of extra credit and the three exams are open note and open book. So long as you create or receive a reliable index to organize and be able to reference all the content, this should be a straightforward class. Theres only 3 open note exams and an extra credit paper or two.
This course covers legal concepts you will use in your everyday lives, and expertise on these topics will be invaluable should you be part of a business. Just from the sheer amount of content, being perfectly prepared for the class (without notes) would be near impossible. Fortunately all exams are open note and open book.
Professor Emerson is easily the best teacher in the business school, and could very well be the best at UF. What he lacks in brevity he makes up for in spades with enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise. His lectures are long, but incredibly entertaining. I doubt I'll ever attend another class where the Professor performs multiple costume changes throughout the lecture and am kinda upset about it.
Your index is your best friend. If you do not get a good index it will be VERY difficult to succeed in this course
Professor Emerson is the bomb, and I think he is the only prof who teaches Business Law to undergrads.
