STA2023 is one of the easiest math classes I've taken. The only reason why I have a B instead of an A is due to pure laziness on my part. I was also taking harder classes at that time, which caused me to forget to complete some quizzes. Its a basic introductory course that almost all majors have to take.
The course goes over basic elementary statistics. From basic data extrapolation(mean, median, mode, etc) to box-plots, to confidence intervals and means. The content is similar to AP Stats if you have ever taken it.
Professor Stine was a sold professor. Although I never really watched her lectures. I would honestly just study edge 3 days before an exam.
Its not an easy course. Take notes and get study edge, and read the questions on the exam, don't take it lightly.

The course was honestly pretty easy I think I finished with nearly a 100. Stine's lectures and exams were consistent and made sense. To me, everything was rather straight forward. She had an option to attend lectures in person/watch live on zoom at 8am, watch a recording afterwards, or do an interactive playposit, so there are many different ways to get the information. There was a textbook that I never got because it was optional. Maybe I'm just good at stats but honestly I felt like it was an easy class. The most annoying thing though was probably the labs. To me, they felt kind of useless.
Probability, confidence intervals, confidence levels, z-scores, all of that. The content of the first exam was incredibly easy and I believe I felt the same for the third exam. The second exam was the trickiest as whether or not you used mean or proportion would determine how to approach a question, along with a few other factors that can get easily confused. But each exam came with a formula sheet and a z and t table, so there was no need to memorize those.
I never saw her face in person, but I watched her recorded lectures from class and she explained concepts very well. She was rather responsive to emails (I think) and her exams are very straightforward.

The class is easy if you manage your time well. I took the hybrid section so I did the lectures online and labs in person.
I love Stine! Her notes are great and easy to understand

The course is easier than Stats 1 in my opinion.
The course grade was mostly focused on exams but there is also homework and there are computer assignments that are more difficult.
Professor Stine was extremely helpful during office hours and was always willing to answer questions.
The exam review packets that she gives out cover exactly what is put on the exams. She won't try to trick you by putting extremely difficult questions on the exams. Use office hours to get help with the computer assignments.

Took over Summer A and while the assignments were spaced very close together it did not feel especially rushed. Pretty easy class however I did have background in Stats from AP Statistics.

The class itself is not very hard if you just stay on track with the material. I have always heard mixed reviews but I haven't struggled in this course.
It is about 3 small canvas quizzes a week that follow with the lecture posted. Not hard at all if you pay attention and do the notes. The labs are not really useful to the overall course but the TAs are great.
She is very good and is helpful to a lot of students who may have questions. I suggest speeding up her videos as it can be hard to pay attention after a while.
Just stay on track with the course and watch the live lectures she's recorded. If you need any extra help for the exams do the practices she posts and use studyedge.

I overall enjoyed this class. There are 2 quizzes per week and 3 "mini projects". There are 3 exams as well. I consider this class to be very fair. You will get out of it what you put in. I studied super hard on the first exam, nailed it. Slacked off on the 2nd, and it cost me my A+, then refocused on the 3rd exam and nailed it. Don't procrastinate or you will get overwhelmed. Lectures are long, but they are incredibly thorough. If you understand the practice exams, you will ace the real exams.
I found it very interesting to learn about how data is collected and how to interpret it fairly. Very useful information.
The professor was incredibly swift in her replies to my emails. Loved that. She is passionate about the material and easy to learn from.
I wish I knew I didn't really need to but the textbook AT ALL. Everything you need to know is in the lectures and practice exams.

Took it Summer A and got a 96. You could get Study Edge, but Stine's lectures are so thorough with so many practice problems, you don't even need it tbh
Great foundation for future stats classes. This class, unlike AP stats, focuses on practical applications, mainly through the mini projects which are super fun and useful.
Stine is the best, she's so kind and responds extremely fast to inquiries.
Just watch the lectures and put in the time.

Stine is an excellent teacher, but I honestly just used Study Edge to help me learn everything faster. However, you do not need Study Edge to get a good grade in the course.

The course difficulty wasn't that bad and her preparatory content did help. The main issue I had is severe ADHD that led to me missing a bunch of quizzes, homework, and not listening to lectures. I have no clue how I managed to get a B-, but I do remember some stuff from the class now that I'm using it in another class, so I'd say that you do learn stuff from the class. Stats as a topic is boring but I think this class definitely was alright.
This is probably very basic advice to students who don't suffer from a cripplingly short attention span but TURN IN ASSIGNMENTS. As long as you do and turn in assignments you'll be able to learn the content, since statistics is fairly straightforward.

Professor Stine was the best!! She had practice homework *NOT GRADED* and would give us practice exams that bettered my understandings and helped me do significantly better on her exams. Practice Exams were similar to her real exams. Her lectures are easy to follow. Stine made a study guide and would annotate it with us. Like who does that?! She gives you multiple extra credit opportunities. Overall 10/10 because I wish every class at UF was like this. Smokin Notes not needed at all.

I dislike math, and didn't have a very good teacher in high school, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I had a very stressful time in this class, but was able to scrape by with a C with the help of a tutor. Being that it was in the summer, the workload was super heavy, and lasted around a month (despite the 6 weeks that were advertised).
This is kind of tricky to answer, because the professor is not the person that I watched in the videos. I will say though that she seemed like a quality teacher in her introduction video. She also provided extra credit, and was pretty fair with the scoring.
If you aren't good at math, I would advise a tutor. If you're fine at it, or went to a high school that actually taught you anything math-related, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Stine is the only teacher that I am aware of (of course this was done online and over the summer), so I suppose I have no other choice but to choose her.

Easy as long as you do all of the practice exams before the real exams
You must do the practice questions/exams. Study Edge/Smokin Notes can be helpful but definitely not necessary in my opinion.
