Dr. Zhao is an excellent professor. I didn't have a background in agriculture at all before taking this course, but now I feel much more comfortable with the process of growing produce organically and sustainably. Just attend class and take good notes, and the tests/exam are a breeze, as they are online and open book. The group project is fun, as it involves managing a small garden with 3-4 others. This class will give plenty of hands-on agriculture experience, and is very newcomer-friendly. The guest lectures about various topics are helpful as well, such as how to market and create a business plan, which is an aspect of agriculture that can often go overlooked.
