This class was abysmally difficult. I foolishly did this class alongside Bobda EEL3701C and gave myself the worst semester I'd ever had. For most all of the assignments, I had to go to all of the professor's office hours and most of the TA office hours to have a chance at getting HW correct.
Consists of statistics ranging from probability to random variables to bayesian and NHST methods. You will be solving problems both on paper and in python using various libraries such as NumPy. You do not need to be the most proficient coder for this class. Most of the class is just statistics, its only a small part at the end where you are taught about their application to Data Science and machine learning. There are syllabuses online that could do a better job than me in explaining the course content.
This was his first semester teaching. He is very knowledgeable on the subject but that does not translate to teaching very much at all. He is somewhat lenient and will help you out if you demonstrate you're putting in your all.
Make this the hard class that you focus on for the semester, otherwise get ready for hours of constant headache.
