This course will be very hard until it is braindead easy. The course is very textbook heavy. You will not survive in this class without reading the book. It is essential to learning proofs and doing well in this course. A good intro course.

Kalantar really pushes you to work hard and is a great lecturer. He one of the best, if not the best mathematics professor at UH. You can never go wrong with him. He will be tough but honestly with his lectures you are actually learning.

Read the book. Do the problems in the book. Practice, practice practice.
