I actually ended up enjoying this course! Quizzes assess how thorough you were with readings. This class isn’t an easy A, but I learned a lot by the end of the semester. Average exam grades were high Cs to mid B range.
5 exams, a final, 6 class assignments, 6 reading quizzes.
Dr. Danaher is super personable and wants all her students to succeed. She makes you work for your grade, but she does so by interacting with students and helping you grasp and understand the material.
I recommend reading chapters before going to class because that’s what lecture will cover and she’ll asks questions pertaining to the assigned readings.

You’re given a topic and have to complete a research topic in one semester. You learn how to conduct research and apply what you’ve learned from RMDA. You work with the same group the whole semester so good communication and work ethics are brought out in this class.
2 reading quizzes, 10 assignments, lots of reading to gather literature for the topic, several drafts leading up to an individual final research paper (also your final), group work heavy.
Easy going professor. Answers all questions you may have and routinely checks in on work load and can be flexible with deadlines.
This is an upper level course so this class can be intense at times. Be prepared to read! You won’t get by with doing the bare minimum. You spend the whole semester working with the same group, so communicate regularly and effectively. My group met between 1-2x a week ranging from 1-3 hours. Your grade depends on how well your group does on assignments and everything you do will go into your final paper.
