For an introductory level class, you are expected to know how to critique and have the brain of an Art History person. The prominent professor, a graduate student, and the GE are not helpful, and they only know how to speak in terms of Art History, unlike a normal human being. I am not getting a horrible grade; it is just a challenging class for a 100-level course. This is just a warning for those trying to get their Arts and Letters requirement thinking that this course would be easy, but it is not. Even my friends that I made in this class have agreed that it should not be an introductory level class because most of the discussion and quizzes readings are graduate level. Not a helpful class unless you are an Art History major, which I am not.
She is not extremely helpful in the majority of cases. However, she has her favorite students, and those are the students who major in Art History.
I wish I knew it would be harder than an introductory class usually is. I also wish I had known that it was going to be the class that was the most stressful and time-consuming for me.
