Prof: Benom Plumb / Fall 2021
Jul 17, 2022
This course is absolutely amazing, and the final grade is determined nearly entirely by two open-book, open-note exams and one project. Homework is almost never assigned, and typically consists of single-paragraph responses. To attend the University without taking this class (regardless of major) would be an utter waste.
One textbook is required and referenced frequently, but is available free of charge on b-ok.cc or at low cost in the University bookstore. The remainder of the curriculum comprises slide presentations and question-answer prompts, both of which remain available online for the entirety of the term.
Professor Plumb is an absolutely astounding individual. He uses no facade of professionality, instead speaking relatably and informally. He is content with being referred to by his first name, and appears quite passionate about the subject of music-industry management.
Paying attention during presentations and completing the final project in small, well-managed portions will effectively ensure a near-perfect grade. Attendance is also somewhat of a strong consideration, but is not unduly penalized.
