It's an interesting course if you want to learn about network security or want to do any of the beginner Cisco certifications.

Definitely take this class with Prof. Garzon if possible, he's really good at teaching the networking basics & hes very straightforward with what you should expect on exams.

Prof goes over a ton of examples in class that help with assignments and midterm. The exam was insanely hard for everyone in the class but it seems like he curved it up big time. Make sure to go for bonus marks whenever they're available (participate on piazza, attend labs, etc)

Start the assignments as soon as they're released. He goes over very similar examples in class and you can sometimes follow along and copy with the assignment questions.
