Prof: Judy Haschenburger / Spring 2015
Nov 24, 2021
This course is really a good place to be able to get some exposure to current research across various disciplines of geology.
This course is basically just listening to numerous speakers, both within the department and guest speakers, present their research. The grade is based largely on attendance and writing abstracts for the presented material.
No real complaints as far as this course. Dr. Haschenburger does, however, have a reputation for being somewhat condescending and giving preferential treatment for grading.
Know how to write abstracts in the sciences! The course is based on writing a fairly small number of abstracts based on speakers, which can be knocked out with fairly little effort. After that, it's really just listening to research and asking questions.
