The course itself was very interesting, but the professor this term goes deep into the math behind the machine learning (ML) and teaches as if you have taken an introduction to ML before. There were 3 assignments worth 30% of the overall grade. Each assignment involved implementing 2 ML algorithms (in any language or online software) and writing a 7-10 page report on the results. During the tests we were expected to know the intuition behind the ML algorithms. Overall I would recommend this course, but be prepared to spend additional time outside of class researching.

My advice would be study hard, do the assignments to your fullest and be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time researching.
