The curve for this class is harsh, but less harsh than maths 124 and 125 - some people say it's the easiest of the 3 to get good grades in and I agree with that, it was my highest scoring maths class at UW. Exams are not as hard as the other two profs I had - it's easier to study for maths exams with Loveless because of all the resources he gives you.
Use Loveless' website (https://sites.math.washington.edu/~aloveles/) for any help,
Andrew Loveless is an awesome maths teacher who really cares about the subject. Cares about students and does what he can to help them pass. I highly recommend him.

Difficult class that is made somewhat better by a good professor who really communicates difficult concepts well. He breaks down the complex math terms into clear and simple things. Exam policy isn't the best but still workable. There's just a lot of smart students that makes the competition bad.
Do as many practice problems as you can to get ahead in the class. They're really helpful for exams. Go on Loveless' website, it has a lot of great resources that I still continue to use after finishing this class.
Andrew Loveless is everything you want in a math teacher. Connects the material very well to other subjects, and subfields of math. Very approachable and passionate about the subject. He cares a lot is willing to go the extra mile with his students to help them understand. Willing to meet during office hours to provide extra help.

This class is manageable and not too overwhelming. Although the contents can be difficult, doing practice exams will help you do well on the real exams. Dr. Loveless is an amazing professor who really cares about his students. Definitely take this class with him.
Grind practice exams. Beware of the harsh curve.
