THIS CLASS REQUIRES BASH SCRIPTING! I know someone who dropped out of WOU because of this class. I was able to pick up enough bash to write the scripts but I had to ask for lots of help. I spent anywhere from 10-20 hours per week doing the coursework for this class alone.

Using Docker, bash scripting, awk, sed, makefile, etc. I would think that this highly technical knowledge will be useful, especially if you work with UNIX/Linux a lot.

Dr. Shannon does not believe in final exams and I don't think that we had any quizzes or tests either. I think that our entire grade was based on the assignments. He is very knowledgeable and if you have questions, head to his Office Hours.

It's very heavy on assignments and LOTS of work. He does provide very detailed tutorials for everything though.
