Psych 210 is an easy course, just painfully redundant and pretty useless. It is a shame that it is a requirement because other required courses such as intro psych and stats/research methods in psych cover everything you learn in this course. Your high school science class probably covered the material.
How to operationalise constructs and design an experiment, what is and is not a falsifiable claim, definitions of dependant/independent variables and controls, and other basic scientific methods. Not very useful as you’ve likely heard all of that information before in high school and intro psych.
Dr. Spradlin is a great professor and he keeps the course work low which is great. His lectures can get very long and boring if you’re not terribly interested in the topic, but most of the time he is very engaging just long-winded in his explanations. He is straight-forward about his expectations and I’ve enjoyed his classes.
Honestly there is nothing I wish I had known going into the course aside from an attendance requirement (but that was dropped after the first week of classes due to COVID)
