I think this is an incredibly useful course that all people should take; you learn so much about society that you think you knew before, but so much more. I was actively interested throughout the semester with this course.
You will learn about everything about the social world we live in and the cause and effects of different social problems in society (racism, classism, sexism being a few topics covered). This is a well-rounded course that covers the basics of Sociology and it has greatly helped me understand the world around me and the explanations of why things are how they are in our country and around the world.
Professor Pain is very nice, she is very understanding when things happen and you need extra time - we communicated multiple times about course material as well, however the reason why we did was because she didn't offer many notes nor any lectures for the online course, making her study guides even harder to understand at times. We had to read and discuss the material between our small groups on the board. I did not like this ONLY because you are assigned to a single and small group for the entire semester. If you do not understand something, ASK right away. Studying isn't really necessary as much as some courses, as everything is open note. But make sure you do understand everything because her questions change between tests, exams, and the guides she provides. I feel like I was in a panic more often than not during them due to this. This is not the professor for ya if you need an online course with flexibility. Like I said, lots of due dates, whereas usually a course will do one or two. Fill out those guides the best you can.
